Is SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule safe during pregnancy? Compare the original, Probio-Cica and sun ampoule formulas by MamaSkin score.

Is SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Safe During Pregnancy?

Is SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Safe During Pregnancy?

The current SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule scores 99, no known risks. It is a short hydrating formula. However, “Centella Ampoule” appears across cleansers, fermented ampoules and sunscreen products, so the reassuring verdict belongs to the exact bottle rather than the entire naming family.

Quick verdict: The original and Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoules both score 99 in the current review. The sun ampoule scores 84, low risk, and should be treated as an SPF product.

SKIN1004 Centella ampoules compared

99No known risks

Madagascar Centella Ampoule

Water, glycerin, butylene glycol and Centella asiatica make this a focused soothing and hydration step.

99No known risks

Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule

A longer barrier formula with niacinamide, squalane and fermented Centella. No current matched ingredient raises its band.

84Low risk

Probio-Cica Glow Sun Ampoule SPF50+ PA++++

A full sunscreen formula. Butyloctyl salicylate is the current low-risk flag; correct SPF application matters more than the serum-like texture.

Where it fits in a routine

Apply after cleansing and toner, then seal with moisturiser if needed. An ampoule is optional: if your moisturiser already keeps skin comfortable, another hydrating layer may not add much. Patch-test fermented formulas if your skin is newly reactive.

Original versus Probio-Cica versus Sun Ampoule

The original Madagascar Centella Ampoule is the most focused option: it is mainly a light humectant and Centella step. Probio-Cica is a longer barrier-support formula with fermented Centella, niacinamide and squalane, so it may suit dry or compromised skin but is not simply a stronger version of the original. Fermented ingredients are not a pregnancy concern by default, although any new formula can irritate an individual user.

The Sun Ampoule belongs in a different category. Its serum-like name and texture do not change the fact that it is SPF50+ sunscreen. Use a generous sunscreen amount and reapply according to the label. If you apply only a few drops as though it were a treatment serum, you will not achieve the protection implied by the SPF claim.

What the 99 score does and does not mean

A 99, no-known-risks score means the reviewed ingredient list had no current pregnancy-risk match. It is not a guarantee against allergy, breakouts or stinging, and it is not evidence that every SKIN1004 product shares the same result. Centella may be the hero ingredient while another active elsewhere in the formula changes the band.

Introduce the ampoule on a small area for a few days if your skin has become reactive. Keep the rest of the routine steady, and stop if you develop swelling, hives or persistent burning. You can skip an ampoule entirely if cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen already keep your skin comfortable.
