Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract
Low RiskPolygonum cuspidatum root extract, also called Japanese knotweed root extract, is a botanical source of resveratrol, polydatin and related polyphenols. Extract composition and cosmetic concentration vary, and normal topical exposure is expected to be much lower than high-dose oral supplementation. MamaSkin applies a precautionary Low Risk classification for consistency with its existing topical resveratrol policy, not because cosmetic use is a known pregnancy contraindication.
